Boulder Meadow Farm is located in Southern NH in the Monadnock Region…
Boulder Meadow Farm was established in the 1980’s as a small-scale farm. Since 2008 Boulder Meadow Fiber Mill was established for fiber farmers, as a place where they could get as little as 8 oz of fleece processed or over 100 pounds for their spinning projects.
We love all fiber, but especially the long wool breeds. We have crossed bred sheep to produce different fibers for all spinners.
We raise on Boulder Meadow Farm, Wenslydale Sheep. These rare and unique sheep are considered a long wool breed, producing soft and luxurious fleece for hand spinners. Our fleece usually has a waiting list a year prior to shearing!
We couldn’t stop there we also raise llamas!!!! We raise them for fleece, confirmation and great dispositions. We take great pride in breeding and raising llamas. Each llama has a purpose and on our farm they are used for a variety of reasons, some are for fleece, breeding, guarding, packing and therapy. It is important to know what you want from your llama and what each llama does best. We also just started raising alpacas. We love this camelid, they produce beautiful fleece, and it is soft to the touch and a joy to work with. For those who are allergic to wool, Alpaca is their choice.
